‘Georgia-22MPR’ (Reg. no. CV-153, PI 702544) is a new high-yielding, high-oleic medium-large-seeded, runner-type peanut (Arachis hypogaea L. subsp. var. hypogaea) cultivar resistant to Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), root-knot nematode [RKN; Meloidogyne arenaria (Neal) Chitwood], and potato leafhopper (Empoasca fabae Harris). It was released by the Georgia Agricultural Experiment Station in 2022. Georgia-22MPR developed at University of Georgia, Tifton Campus. originated from cross ‘Georgia Greener’ × GA 082524. Greener normal-oleic, TSWV-resistant, cultivar. 082524 high-oleic, RKN-resistant, advanced breeding line. Pedigree selection practiced within early segregating generations. Performance testing began F4:6 generation with pure-line selection, 163120. During past 4 years (2018–2021) averaged over 27 multiple location tests without pressure had significantly less TSWV total disease incidence than ‘Georgia-14N’. also found have larger runner seed size as compared smaller check cultivar, Georgia-14N. combines high yield, resistance, insect RKN resistance medium–large trait for longer shelf-life improved oil quality products.
